Facts

This year alone, 11,740 woman will be diagnosed with breast cancer just in New England. That's a lot of women. Fortunately, with the help of events like Making Strides for Breast Cancer, diagnoses and treatment is more effective and woman are living more normal lives while they fight this disease and after they are well.

Since 1993, the first year of the event in this country, 6 million walkers have raised over $400,000,000!!! In 2009 alone, 700,000 walkers raised over $60 million dollars. It's amazing what can be done by small donations. All it takes is a few dollars from a lot of people to add up to great numbers.

The photo above is from April 2010. The American Cancer Society had a party at Swarovski Crystal thanking the local Pacesetters for their efforts. You can see Chris and his fellow female Pacesetters.
